Company: Ombuds Office for Students & Postdoctoral Appointees, UC Berkeley
Project: Branding all promotional materials
Time: January 2014
Details: After about 7 years of the “before” logo above, a change in leadership, and a new campus-wide rebranding, I lead the design and rebranding efforts for the Ombuds Office for Students & Postdoctoral Appointees at UC Berkeley. We began with a logo redesign, which translated into a trifold flyer and one-pager, then bookmark. Designed in Adobe InDesign.
Materials designed:
- Logos
- Trifold
- One-pager
- Bookmark
- Web banner

Before and After: Picture yourself at Berkeley postcard design /
HI EVERYONE!
I AM WRITING IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE I AM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT TWO OF MY DESIGNS HAVE HIT THE PRESS! I must say, there is an amazing energy attached to seeing your work transfer from digital to print.. The first is the new Office of Undergraduate Admissions for UC Berkeley postcards (over 50K printed) and the second is the Tale of Sukhothai Kingdom promotional poster. I’ll share that with you in a subsequent blog post..
We ran out of the first postcard and our freshman admissions flyers, so my task was to create something fast, easy, and branded. In a perfect world, our office would design and print all the materials we need at once to achieve the brand continuity, but of course that is not the case. I think this will do though, don’t you think?
Happy Friday!
